I deconstructed the internationally recognised video, 'Moves Like Jagger' by 'Maroon 5'. I decided to deconstruct this particular video as it falls into my chosen genre of pop/rock and was and still is an internet hit due to its satirical comedy, hinting at it's genre's origins and sexualised imagery. This video is an excellent text to look at. I particularly like the injection of black and white moving images, as I feel this gives the video a retro and unique look, which is a main convention of pop/rock music. I intend to include this in my own product, and received inspiration for this idea from this video.
