Institutions

I've been doing some research into which institution I would like to represent my band and indeed start the production process for my video, website and digipak. The record label that I have chosen would be:

Universal Music Group UK

Universal Music is the UK’s leading music company and home to artists from Take That and Florence + The Machine to Mumford & Sons and The Rolling Stones. This company are part of the globally successful record label and music company, Universal Music Group which is based in America and as been label to many successful acts, including many pop/rock bands and artists. Having represented and looked after a wide range of artists from a wide range of musical genres with great success, I would be confident in the way that this company would promote my band as they have international contacts, ensuring not only success and recognition in the UK, but in the USA and all over the world.
In addition, this company also has a signed publishing company;

Universal Publishing Group

Universal Music Publishing is the world's leading music publisher with offices in 47 countries including the UK, US, France, Germany, Spain, Scandinavia, Italy, Australia, South Africa and throughout Asia. UMPG administers over 1 million copyrights and holds the rights to numerous prestigious catalogues, from BMG Music and Rondor through to those of the world’s major film & TV companies such as Warner Bros, Pictures, BBC, Canal Plus, Tiger Aspect and Working Title.

If I were to actually pitch my product to any music label/group that this group would be the one. The have special networks within the industry, be it publishing, representation or television companies which would all promote the artist to the best of their ability, and gain global promotion/recognition for my band. Although I am to create my own institution for the purpose of this construction, I will aim to make it as high quality as possible, and build up the impression that it too could achieve global success for my band.
