In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
MUSIC VIDEO- TITLE & FONT
- Old fashioned vintage countdown acts as equivalent title sequence to song. The black/white colours link back to pop/rock music genre and sets up the beginning of the music video.
- Obvious indication of song title 'Five Colours in her Hair'. Clear close up shot cements this title for the audience, as well as repetitive shots of the hair and a repetitive chorus of 'Five Colours in Her Hair'
By choosing the use no additional font for the title, I am remaning conventional to professional music videos on the market now whilst also appealing to my younger audience by choosing to include shots such as this to indicate the title of the video to avoid any confusion.
Only additional inclusion of text. The text is bold and clear and replicates generic and conventional warning signs used in public to indicate a danger. This acts almost as a universal sign recognised by most audience members due to the image of the man falling and the red background for the text having obvious connotations of danger. Bold text is conventional to the genre as it is eye catching and stands out against it's background. I have tried to include this for all text featured throughout my products.
