Evaluation Question 1- Conventions (Story)

STORY/ HOW IT'S SET UP

When researching into pop/rock music videos, I found their stories to be very simple. It usually always started in a place of work and then chaos occurred in the middle, with a comical ending that suggested the events hadn't taken place or that the male band members were worse off/ just as bad as they were before the video. This comical plot line shows an extreme change in characters which I found most of my target audience found very appealing. I therefore felt that I was conventional in my own story, and had comical resemblances to products already out there on the market. By keeping conventional within my story, the audience are able to recognise and almost foretell how the story will end, wanting to keep on watching to see if they are correct and to see the comical outbursts in the middle. I also feel by keeping conventional with my story, the narrative is easily understood, with no excuses for confusion from my audience.

Please see the image below for examples of how I set the story up within my video
